Currently we are watching an area of rain (with embedded pockets of moderate rain) over the northern and central Panhandles. To the south rain and thunderstorms are occurring with some spots of localized heavy rain. All of this activity is moving to the north-northeast and will exit the region later this morning. However, new thunderstorm development is noted in eastern NM and will watch this for potential impacts on the area this afternoon.
